Q: Why should I book with a travel agent, instead of booking everything myself?
A: Because working with a travel pro—especially a luxury travel advisor—is an easy way to “VIP” your entire vacation experience. A good travel agent cultivates connections with top properties, general managers, and tour guides … and you reap the benefits of those relationships with better service and more perks.

Q: I’ve never worked with a travel agent before—what’s it like?
A: I take a personalized approach to travel planning (which is pretty different from a lot of travel pros out there). Because I really like to get to know my clients, after you fill out the travel questionnaire, we’ll hop on a consultation call together to chat about your likes and dislikes, your unique travel style, and more.

Q: How long does it take to receive my itinerary proposal?
A: Typically, it takes about a week to put together. This gives me time to think through your perfect, personalized itinerary and reach out to my supplier partners so I can craft your itinerary from scratch.

Q: What if I don’t like the itinerary proposal you send me?
A: No worries—I’ll work with you to make it perfect! You receive three complimentary itinerary revisions as a part of the planning process, to ensure we nail your itinerary.

Q: Do you only book Australia and New Zealand?
A: Nope! Those two destinations are near to my heart and I consider them my specialties—but I craft custom vacations worldwide, from Africa to Europe, the Caribbean to Asia. My niche isn’t a particular destination, but how you want to travel. If you’re after a totally tailored-to-you itinerary full of immersive experiences and luxury, boutique properties, I’m the travel pro for you.

Q: I noticed you’re a Virtuoso member—what does that mean?
A: I’m glad you noticed 😉 Virtuoso is a leading network of luxury travel companies. As a member agency, I’m able to get my clients exclusive Virtuoso perks at luxury properties around the world—this often looks like upgrades, complimentary breakfast, hotel credit, and more.

But wait, that’s not all! Even if a luxury hotel isn’t a part of Virtuoso, chances are I can still get you perks. I’m a part of a number of luxury hotel networks and programs for industry insiders. Basically, I’ve got the hook up at the best properties out there—and I’ll pass that on to you.

Q: Do you only book luxury travel?
A: Typically, yes, that’s what my clients are after. But “luxury” can mean many different things to different travelers, so here’s the low down: I most often book my clients into 4- and 5-star properties I know can deliver an exceptional experience. Occasionally I’ll pepper in 3-star properties to work within a budget, especially on a longer trip. I don’t book AirBnbs or hostels, because I cannot guarantee the quality. If, however, you’re looking for the vacation rental experience, I do have access to vetted, professionally managed villas worldwide!

Q: Do you charge a planning fee?
A: It depends on the type of travel experience you’re after—we’ll chat about this on your consultation call. If a planning fee does apply, my fee starts at $200 for a full, custom itinerary.
