Annandale is set on a 4,000 acre sheep and cattle farm comprised of four unique luxury villas scattered across the property, each with their own distinctive character.
Annandale is a 90 minute drive or short helicopter ride from Christchurch and 30 minutes from Akaroa. During your journey from Christchurch, you’ll see the spectacular scenery of the Banks Peninsula. A trip to the small town of Akaroa, a historic French and British settlement, is definitely worth a visit. The town is full of colonial architecture, galleries, stores, and cafes. The Banks Peninsula is also the best place to spot the Hector dolphin, the smallest and rarest dolphin in the world only found off the New Zealand shores.
Why I love Annandale
With four distinct villas to choose from of different styles and vibes, there’s one that’s a perfect fit for any occasion and the perfect place for a family reunion, wedding, or couples retreat. The four villas are completely different but all impressively designed. I was in awe by the amazing architecture.
The fresh farm-to-table cuisine is a highlight of Annandale. There are two options: a private chef or meals delivered directly to your villa for their “we create, you serve” option. I recommend indulging in a combo of both options during your stay.
